Instagram Comedian parodies West Indian Culture

IMG_2688Non-stop laughter is what you can expect if you visit the Instagram page @prnc_charming, it is the Instagram account of rising internet sensation Stephen Francis. A New York native, Stephen has been posting short fifteen second comedy clips on his Instagram account since September of 2014. His comedy sketches are usually parodies of West Indian culture which many, especially West Indians within the diaspora can relate to. He has a growing list of fans and his social media reach is expanding with each new post. My heart is aching for Jamaica. Words cannot describe the hurt that the recent events unfolding in Jamaica have caused me. The tears have flowed, and I have asked myself the same question over and over again; what can I do to help? Politics and Crime in Jamaica – The Effect of the Dudus Extradition

With regards to the recent debacle concerning the leadership of Jamaica, I am led to give my opinion on the situation which has recently unfolded. The extradition issue surrounding Christopher “Dudus” Coke has been a serious concern for many Jamaicans. I am not aware of the full details of the extradition request, however I do not believe that the Bruce Golding led administration has been forthright with the people of Jamaica. Continue reading
